I attended my first Landgrove Inn workshop in September and it was fabulous. I pulled up and felt like I'd walked into an old movie set. Landgrove is nestled in beautiful Vermont countryside, perfect for plein air painting and the Inn is lovely with a great art barn for indoor classes. What I loved about the experience was not only the painting, Randy Sexton is a terrific instructor, but immersion workshops are my favorite type of workshop. Usually, 1/2 the class lives nearby and leaves as soon the class is over, so you never get to know them. Besides the instruction, I love to go to workshops to get to know the other artists. At Landgrove you are on a retreat, cut off from the rest of the world (well as much as you can be these days). My classmates socialized before dinner sitting in a lovely old lounge before a fire and ate each meal together letting us all get to know one another. I should mention their chefs are fabulous and I was spoiled with all the wonderful meals. Tom and Maureen make you feel right at home. I enjoyed Landgrove Inn and Randy Sexton's workshop so much, I signed up for Randy's class next year before I left.
