Today was a foot setback day. I won't bore you with the details but my motto is "no pain, no gain". I ended up doing a DIY project in my lap. And sadly, it didn't involve paint.
Here's keeping my fingers crossed for a better day tomorrow. Thank heavens for the Olympics ...

Can I just saw how excited I am about the Olympics starting today? I love the winter and summer Olympic Games and I am really excited for the next two weeks! I plan to sit at our family room table, with my leg propped up on a chair, and paint ... while watching the Olympics. How fun does that sound?
I hope you are all enjoying the 30 in 30. I am so happy to be finally joining you all very soon.
It's Day Nine. I have set a plan and I am going to join you all and try to paint on Saturday. If I have to stand the entire time on crutches, I am going to do this. I cannot wait any longer. Until then, happy painting!
Day eight. We are in our second week. I really do think I will be painting soon. The pain in my foot as decreased a lot lately so that is a very good sign. Thank heavens!
Your paintings are all amazing by the way!
Day seven. Do you know what that means? We are one quarter of the way done. That is amazing and I think I am going to be able to paint soon! I cannot wait.
How is the 30 in 30 going for all of you? Any questions, problems or great things you have experienced so far? Please share your stories here!
There is something about the colors in this painting that just spell relaxation. I love the muted colors and the simplicity and texture on the canvas. I could paint like this every day!
It's Day Six of the Challenge and I am so happy how many of you are doing. I have received so many comments and emails and I love hearing your stories of success. Congrats!
Wow. I cannot believe we are already on Day Five! I am curious about something. How many of you painted during the Super Bowl? Anyone?
I didn't. I was on the couch with lots of family and it was great. I can say I am getting a little better on my crutches. So I am making progress. This is a commission that is a lot larger than you think. Sorry the photo isn't great but my client sent it to me. The painting wouldn't fit in my car. I think it was about six feet by five feet. Just think, in a few days we will be 25% done!
This painting was a commission I painted for an interior designer and their lovely clients in Orange County, Ca. This is a pretty large painting and it was really fun to paint. I actually haven't posted this painting before because I just received the photos.
Have a great day!
Great job on day two everyone! I am still posting older paintings, but hope to be painting soon. I got news today that I will be on crutches for four to six weeks and I cried. Broke into tears. Right there in the doctor's office.Let's hope that changes. There is a chance it might so my fingers are crossed.
Allright, enough complaining. Onward!
Well, it's Day Two and it seems most of you have survived! I am kidding, but I do want to say how much I love all of the paintings that were uploaded today. Don't forget, you can still upload your painting for 48 hours after the blog post goes live. So please don't feel rushed and take your time. Remember, should be having fun this month!
I am still "couch bound" but do intend to try painting this weekend. I am getting so anxious! This painting is another one of my previous paintings. It's cotton stems and I love the neutral palette. Happy painting. Thanks so much for joining me and I am so glad you are all here. |
