It's done! And printed. I was lamenting earlier in the week that my Marketing Boot Camp notebook was 125 pages. So I spent every night this week trying to make it shorter. I am so happy that it is finished, printed and bound. Only problem? It's 127 pages! Oh well. I think it's worth it.
I cannot believe a week from today I will be at the Magnolia Bed & Breakfast in Waco Texas at my first Art Marketing Boot Camp! This has been a dream of mine for a very long time and I am so excited. I will be back to Waco in November for another Boot Camp and then I will host three more next year ... in a different location. But it will be just as fun and awesome, I promise! Thanks so much for all of your comments about my marketing handbook. I am sorry but the notebook is not for sale. It will only be available for the attendees of my boot camps. Someday I will write a marketing book but I am probably a few years away from finishing that project! Some of you may remember I am on a huge quest to find the perfect organizational system. I am looking for the best way to organize appointments, weekly to-do's and long term projects. I think I need a combination system that has an online calendar plus a system where I can write lists and cross off tasks. I was SO excited to receive my new daily planner from Moleskin this week. I guess it was too good to be true! I started entering all of my appointments and to-do's only to realize that when I turned the page at the end of October both November and December were missing. The good news is I found them between July and August 2016. Needless to say I am waiting for my new replacement planner. Ugh ...

"Fall Harvest" Oil, 6" x 6" Available My first Marketing Boot Camp is next week in Waco Texas and I am so excited! We are staying at the Magnolia Bed & Breakfast and I cannot wait. There is a lot of preparation that goes in to the event. And my biggest task has been putting together the "marketing handbook". The only problem is that ti is 125 pages!
Ok, so yes, I think I got carried away just a bit. But it's hard to limit anything I want to share everything when it comes to marketing your art. I promised to share all of my tricks and not hold back. I just don't know how I am going to cover all of the material in three days! I am still editing with hopes I can shorten the book by twenty or so pages. But I don't think that is going to happen. I figure if I can't cover all of the material during boot camp at least the group will have the material for reading later on! Putting the book together was a much bigger task than i expected. But it's pretty much done and will be ready for my second class in November! It's always harder the first time around! |
