Day eight. We are in our second week. I really do think I will be painting soon. The pain in my foot as decreased a lot lately so that is a very good sign. Thank heavens!
Your paintings are all amazing by the way!

Leslie, I can't imagine being in your situation and not being able to paint! Hopefully you will be given the go-ahead and be able to get back into it. I guess painting smaller is a benefit because I can sit anywhere and paint, and I'm used to that because I paint en plein air or in my car in the winter. Wishing you a quick recovery and a return to what you love.

Leslie, I will take this reply opportunity so I may ackknowledge my OWN frustration years ago. I slipped on ice out the door almost 6 years to the day. My ankle shattered as my foot fell off my leg (still attached by skin) and was at a complete 90 degrees to my leg bone. After months in a boot and two surgeries, I was able to do PT and walk again, I don't walk really good and I can't do things like run and jump, but I absolutely KNOW how frustrated you are. It takes time - you will be back to what you know eventually - I just know it...but in the meantime, I have been there..it is NOT fun. Be easy on yourself.
