Sunday night I felt like I couldn't look at another painting, or sketch or reference material. While painting doesn't take all day, it seems to consume my whole day and I want to get to other things, but can't. All in my mind of course.
Hi Leslie, Have done many of your challenges and something good always comes from them! Approaching burnout, but excited to keep going. Doing small, sketchbook watercolors. Haven't used watercolors since illustration days... now it's fun!
Thank you for doing this,
Leslie this has been exhausting but wonderful. I started the month with 15 paintings already completed because I did not want to have any excuses not to post! I really wanted to add blogging about my art to my art practice and this has really pushed me to do just that. Those that have actually read them seem to really enjoy getting insight into what I am trying to do! The fact that I am an art teacher and school started on the first week of September and the next Saturday I had my first Big art Festival made me a bit shy for sleep. I do get up at 5 to paint before going to work and it has been wonderful once I get there!! Thank you for encouraging your podcast listeners to jump in where ever they are and enjoy the process. I often listen to your podcasts while I paint. I love them! Thanks again!
It's hard. I knew it would be but I just felt I had to participate as I have done many times in the past. And I am doing oils and watercolors for this go round so things are a little different. Still I am very happy we are on the run to the finish and not just starting!
