This is by far one of my favorite all-time designs on Project Runway. The fabric, color and design are simply fabulous!

This was the "bait and switch" episode of project runway where the designers use a randomly assigned fabric type to create a high-end evening resort look. But ... after the designer's finished drawing their designs the fabrics were switched and they were stuck with another designer's fabrics. Sam designed a sky blue and periwinkle halter-top gown with a very low open back. It’s simple but the silhouette is effective. By the way, the fabric was upholstery weight!

I love the horizontal design of the dress and fabric and was inspired to paint this beach themed painting for today's painting. I added a few more colors to make the painting interesting and love the end result!
